WiFi for Crosslake's log homes and lake homes

Crosslake sits on the Whitefish Chain, at the Pine River dam. North-woods homes up here are beautiful: log walls, big stone fireplaces, open lofts. They're also some of the hardest homes for WiFi to get through.

Why WiFi struggles in north-woods homes

  • Log walls. Thick, solid wood holds moisture, and water soaks up WiFi. The signal on the far side of a log wall is much weaker.
  • Stone fireplaces and chimneys. A big stone fireplace in the middle of the house can leave a WiFi shadow behind it.
  • Lofts and upstairs bedrooms. The signal has to climb through floors and around beams to get there.
  • Living up here full time. If you've moved up for good, you're on video calls, streaming and banking online every day. WiFi that was fine for summer weekends may not be fine now.

Instead of pushing one signal through all that, we put a WiFi point in each room that needs it and connect it over the wiring you already have. No holes in those log walls.

HOW we fix that?Using the wiring already in your walls.

We install pro-grade UniFi WiFi and connect it over the wiring already in your walls. Every WiFi point gets a wired connection. The whole house becomes a hardwired pro-grade solution: about 99% lower latency than poor WiFi.

  1. Your internet comes in

Keep your internet company. At your router, we add pro-grade UniFi WiFi from Ubiquiti.

  2. The wiring in your walls carries it

Small adapters (called MoCA) turn the coax you already have into a wired link to each room. No new cable runs, no drilling, no electricians.

  3. Full WiFi in the far rooms

Each far room gets a small WiFi point on its own wired link: full-strength WiFi, not a weak relay.

No usable coax where it's needed? We'll tell you on the call and suggest a simpler WiFi option that fits your home and budget. Not every home qualifies, and that's what the free assessment is for.
